The third-party developers have shared news and new assets on the upcoming aircraft and scenery add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

We start with SimWorks Studios, which announced a release date and pricing information for the Daher Kodiak.

Barring any unforeseen problem, it will be released on Friday, December 17 in third-party stores. It will also be released on the official market for PC and Xbox, but a date for that is not predictable. It will cost € 29.99 on SWS’s own store and a bit more on other stores.

The amphibious version is under development and will be released as an additional package at a later date for € 14.99.

Next is SC Design with new images of its F-16 Fighting Falcon, including a Hellenic Air Force livery. We are also receiving a brief development update.

“The F-16s will also receive a fully customized Fly-By-Wire system which is coded by CodeNameJack. It works incredibly well and revealed a real sensitivity of the F-16 in the landing configuration that matches the actual aircraft – lose too much speed and it’s safe for you! It’s almost ready to go to previewers next week, so soon you’ll have plenty of opportunities to see the F-16s flying in the simulation. Metallic textures have also been improved, and the Thunderbirds now have their own glossy coat of paint, as opposed to the matte finish on most planes.

Last but not least, SamScene3D has revealed new images of its upcoming cityscape for Busan in South Korea.

Recently we posted our last interview with Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann and we heard more about Microsoft’s plans for the next few months, including World Update Australia.
