Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Anniversary Concert Tops This Week’s Live Streams

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Wilco celebrates the 20th anniversary of its landmark album “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot” this week with five special concerts in New York City and at his home in Chicago — including a live stream of his Saturday, April 23 show at 8:30 a.m. h at the Auditorium Theater in the Windy City. Tickets through nugs.net.
“Yankee Hotel Foxtrot” was a famous album rejected by the band’s record label at the time, only to leak online and, after its eventual release by another company, win the prestigious Village Voice Pazz & Jop poll that year. It is also Wilco’s only gold album. The band announced the release of anniversary box sets on September 26, featuring live recordings, demos and new versions of material by other artists.
